For the longest time, people have viewed stress as a negative impact, or consider it as their worst enemy.

I still remember ranting about being too stressed, about how it made me worse, made me unable to do things, reducing my productivity. But it soon changed when my mom told me this.

“Having another friend is better than having another enemy.”

The above words enlightened me. What if, I made Stress … my friend?

Since then, stress was like a positive thing to have for me. Whenever I am stressed, I think of why, what would have caused it, how do I make it better? All in all, It actually made me a better person.

And here is how you can do it too:

(But before you start you will have to set a positive mindset about stress. View it as something that drives you to go further, something that gives you a purpose to live, something that makes you a BETTER HUMAN.)

First, identify the reason you are stressed, in other words, find the root of the problem. It could be hard but it is definitely worthwhile instead of ignoring the problem.

Now, you will find ways to solve the problems you face. With this, not only will you solve the problem, but you are also much better off when you started! Your creativity increases as you work out ways, you find ways to achieve what you really want, and eventually, you reach the part where you find the best alternative.

The last step is to look back, see how far you have gotten, all the people you meet along the way, all the challenges put up against you, and how you overcame them. You will be encouraged to do it all again when you feel stressed the next time, and you would be thankful you can feel that way :).

Stress lets you experience things you never thought of experiencing and make decisions you never thought you would make. Which makes life, more fun and gives it a purpose. To throw the stress away is similar to throwing a great opportunity away. So next time you feel stressed, take that opportunity and enlighten your life :).

So, after reading this article, what is Stress to you?
